No one likes to be called “fat” on live television, but an ESPN analyst chose to tread close to implying the same. Ryan Clark’s words left quite an impact on the Dolphins QB. In a world that has become a lot more sensitive than it was a couple of decades ago, the former Safety’s comments were not appreciated by Tagovailoa and possibly others. The Safety turned ESPN analyst, Ryan Clark, has proved his mettle on the pitch in his NFL career. After switching to the newsroom post-retirement, he has been with ESPN since 2015 sharing his take on the NFL. The Dolphins hold a 1-1 record in the 2023 preseason after losing to the Falcons while beating the Texans in the following matchup. The bulky frame developed by the QB drew a remark from the analyst suggesting he hasn’t been listening to his nutritionist. He’d double down on his claim as he suggested that he has become thick while chuckling about it with his fellow analysts.
