According to a projection by Jon Machota of The Athletic, the Cowboys are believed to be mulling over a contract extension that could land CeeDee Lamb’s annual salary within the range of $25 million to $ 30 million.

Machota observed while assessing the priority of different players on contract extensions, Lamb should be the second priority, just behind quarterback Dak Prescott.

He also notes that the top 10 highest-paid receivers in the league all earn at least $20 million every year, and the top five wide receivers earn around $24 million on average annually, emphasizing the high market value of the position.

Currently, CeeDee Lamb is still playing under his rookie contract, which earns him a  salary of $4.5 million for the current season. This places him at the 46th spot in terms of receiver payscale across the leagues.
