The quarterback arrived from the Seahawks via trade, and the Broncos would want him to stay here for the rest of his career. The franchise is currently up for sale, and whenever a new owner is declared, the deal might get through straight away.

Mike Klis of 9News’ reported, “The first order of the business for the new owner will be to sign Russell Wilson to a contract extension, Five years and $250 million will be his asking price.” This deal will be in a similar range to Deshaun Watson’s with the Cleveland Browns.

Wilson is currently 33 years old, and he still has a lot of football left in him. If the Broncos can keep him for the next five years, the franchise will be in a good state. Deshaun Watson’s deal with the Browns certainly raised the roof for future quarterback contract negotiations. Thus, quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson are expected to get paid in a similar pay bracket.
