O. J. Simpson faced his share of public humiliation and prosecution after the infamous 1998 murder trial. And, in a way, it’s still going on. Juice’s mansion, which he once inhabited with his family, was recently demolished after his release from prison on parole.
Juice’s 1.65-acre Miami property was demolished in 2022, five years after he came out from behind the bars. And the current owners are probably planning a new custom estate after they recently put the property up for sale for a whopping $2.6 million.

After his involvement in the infamous ‘OJ Simpson Murder Trial’ in 1998 for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman, for which he won the acquittal, the former Heisman Trophy winner bought the South Florida mansion for nearly one million dollars in today’s value.
Although acquitted, OJ found himself tangled in a civil lawsuit in 2008 and later faced jail time. This was because of his involvement in a sports memorabilia armed robbery incident in Las Vegas. After Simpson’s sentencing, JPMorgan Chase Bank foreclosed his Miami property in 2012. According to the reports of the Miami-Dade property appraiser records, the last known buyer of the property was an investment company, Global Rental E&P, which bought it in 2014 for over half a million dollars.

The former NFL offensive player of the year bought the four-bedroom and the four-bathroom mansion in 2000. The property situated in the Killian neighborhood in Miami also came with its own guest house, swimming pool, and a private basketball court.
However, despite all the amenities, the $2.6 million of real estate didn’t attract any buyers. And the price came down below the $2 million range in 2019 and ultimately led to the demolition last year. If a buyer doesn’t emerge, the land will go on the market after the interest rates become more suitable.

Simpson chose this house because of its proximity to the esteemed Gulliver Schools where his son Justin and daughter Sydney went. “Great opportunity to own one of the largest parcels of land left for development in what is now being called ‘West Pinecrest’,” the real estate listing of the property says, according to the Post’s coverage. These days, OJ lives in the Canyon Gate Country Club community in Las Vegas. However, the 75-year-old has nothing to do after the NFL season just ended and dreams of returning to Florida one day.
