The Bengals are thinking of trading away their star wide receiver Tee Higgins this offseason. They are trying to reach a contract extension agreement with the wide receiver, but things aren’t progressing as they hoped. The WR has demanded an amount of money in the new deal that the Bengals see as outrageous.

Higgins just finished his third of the four years on the rookie deal he signed before the 2020 NFL season. He has one more year on the deal and will be a free agent at the end of next season. But the Bengals may trade him for a high draft pick this offseason to avoid letting him go on a fee. And that will happen if the franchise cannot reach an agreement with Higgins over the contract.

Higgins was in the news earlier this season during the whole Damar Hamlin episode. Hamlin had collapsed on the field after tackling Higgins. Apart from that, the Bengals wide receiver has played his role well in the team, becoming one of the primary targets for QB Joe Burrow.

He showed what he is made off this season. The wide receiver caught 74 receptions in the 2022 regular season. With these receptions, he gained 1,029 receiving yards for his team. And most importantly, Higgins found the end zone seven times in the regular season.

Higgins has raked up a total of 3,028 receiving yards in his regular season career with 205 receptions and 19 touchdowns.
