NFL franchise Arizona Cardinals and their quarterback Kyler Murray seem to have reached a point of no return amidst recent revelations. Murray recently possibly out of frustration scrubbed any reference to the Cardinals from one of his social media accounts. The actions of the talented QB drew criticism from certain sources within the franchise’s front office, who describe him as a self-serving and immature leader.

Murray was reportedly venting out his frustrations following a comprehensive defeat courtesy of the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams. His emotionally charged reaction and its fallout have put the franchise in a lot of trouble by tarnishing his public image.
Murray reportedly feels he is being scapegoated by fans and NFL experts for an early exit from the NFL playoffs.
Despite all the commotion, the franchise remains hopeful of retaining Murray as their franchise quarterback. The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his rookie contract with the franchise. But these revelations will surely put strain and certainly affect those negotiations.
Is Kyler Murray on the move from Arizona?
The Arizona Cardinals have a strict deadline until May 2 to pick up the fifth-year option in the contract. The Cardinals QB is eligible to negotiate a brand new deal having completed his third season in the league.
Murray will take home about $5.4 million while earning a base salary of $965,000 during the 2022 NFL season.

A talented star QB, Murray was named the Rookie of The Year following his debut NFL season. He has been part of 2 Pro Bowl teams since his entry into the NFL. He also led them to the playoffs after an almost 6-year absence from the postseason. A player in the QB position possessing both physical attributes and abilities is rare. The Cardinals organization and its owners will be hoping to retain his services.

The rift seems to be ever-increasing between both the franchise’s hierarchy and Murray for a deal to be reached. There remain contrasting reports about the relations between both parties becoming copacetic.
