Why is Trey Lance imitating Aaron Rodgers?

According to the head coach Kyle Shanahan, they want Trey Lance to be at his best and help the team practice. “We need Trey to be very aggressive, let it rip,” said Shanahan. “Hopefully if he does make some mistakes in practice, our defense will catch it and make him pay. But we need him to be aggressive in everything he does because Aaron doesn’t miss many of those opportunities when they’re presented to him.”

The 49ers wanted Lance to play like Aaron Rodgers so the defense could prepare for the match. Their main quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, will be playing against Green Bay with a shoulder injury. So the Niners have asked Trey to be like Aaron.

Trey Lance imitating other NFL quarterbacks

Imitating Aaron Rodgers is not Trey Lance’s first rodeo. The quarterback has spent a lot of his rookie campaign playing like other quarterbacks. From Kyler Murray to Kirk Cousins, Lance has done it all. This exercise always helps the 49ers to prepare for their games.
