The NFL expects around 3 to a maximum of 6 feet of snowfall for the Bills vs Browns game, which was supposed to be held in Buffalo. Since the snowstorm hit the region, the NFL has shifted the venue for the game to Detroit. The NFL stated that the major concern contributing to the decision was to ensure the safety of others. “The decision to move the game to Detroit has everything to do about safety,” Bills executive vice president and chief operating officer Ron Raccuia said.

The fans can blame the ‘Lake Effect’ for the relocation of the match. As a cold breeze from the north drifts through vast lakes, further forming larger and larger clouds due to the warmer lake temperatures. And subsequently increasing the severity of snowfall.
