Some moments become the highlight of a lifetime. And one such moment was recently experienced by former NFL punter, Pat McAfee and his wife Samantha McAfee. Pat is an American Sports analyst and multi-media personality, hosting his famous talk show ‘The Pat McAfee Show’. Recently, he has also been associated with the wrestling world after he had a cameo at the latest Wrestlemania event. But keeping aside all his accolades, the recent one might be the most cherished.
Sam McAfee and her husband, Pat, got married in 2020. After three years of marriage, they finally welcomed their first baby on Thursday. However, this is not the first time they have experienced such a moment. They previously went through a difficult time that was filled with sorrow. And, Pat shared both the past and present experiences on his show, along with the processes they underwent to welcome their first child.
It’s a baby girl for the couple

While Sam lay in the hospital bed with their new baby, Pat McAfee joined his show, remotely, to share the happy news with his co-host, A J Hawk, a former linebacker of Green Bay Packers, and guest Pacman Jones, a former NFL cornerback of Cincinnati Bengals. Other co-hosts of the show and internet personalities, including Ty Schmit, Tone Digz, and BostonConnr, also joined in to congratulate the new parents. During the show, Pat described the process of welcoming their child and revealed that Sam woke him up around 3:27 AM after it was time.
Pat shared that they rushed to the hospital, where he was kept outside the operating room while Sam underwent a C-section. From outside, he continued encouraging his wife and updated his co-hosts, “5 minutes later, the baby pops out, head pops out…and I start crying.”
Throughout the show, Pat praised his wife, and expressed his confidence saying, “Sam’s gonna be the best mom of all time.” He also opened up about the couple’s past experiences, including the loss of two babies in consecutive years. Pat shared, “This is the day we’ve been waiting for like 30 months or so, and then when the day arrives out of nowhere 3 AM, it’s like I should have prepared more.” The couple also took to social media to share their emotional news, and fans flooded their accounts with congratulatory messages.

The McAfee couple remains quite active on social media. After welcoming the new baby girl on Thursday, they uploaded a cute picture on social media. They were seen holding a foot of the baby and captioned it, “Today’s a day that @mrsmcafeeshow and I have been dreaming of……Thanks for all of the good vibes.” Fans and celebrities rushed to the comment section to congratulate the new parents.
