The match-up between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals is coming up soon. As it stands, the Ravens are leading with one win compared to the Bengals’ zero. Both teams are not performing well. Although the Ravens are in the lead, they are currently struggling with a ‘banged-up’ offensive lineup. How far can Lamar Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr. take the team?

Not only are the Ravens facing challenges, but Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow is also in a conundrum of his own. The loss against the Browns in the Battle of Ohio has shaken the team up a little bit. This was the Bengals’ first regular-season game against the Cleveland Browns, which they lost horribly. Now, there are questions regarding Lamar Jackson’s performance, especially after what he said about his last game with the Houston Texans.

Recently, in an episode of ESPN’s Get Up, the hosts conducted an in-depth analysis of both teams. One of the hosts mentioned that the Baltimore Ravens’ offense is ‘oddly banged up,’ with OT Ronnie Stanley, RB J.K Dobbins, and TE Mark Andrews all out for the next game. The host then pointed out that QBs Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson have the lowest stats of the season.

As it stands, Joe Burrow has a QB rating of 23, compared to Lamar Jackson’s 17. It’s also worth noting that Lamar Jackson has had 2 turnovers since week 6 of last season. There is dissent between both teams due to their past encounters. This is because the Bengals knocked the Ravens out in last season’s playoffs after playing 3 games against each other.

“The teams don’t like each other,” said one of the hosts, Dan Graziano. Graziano also mentioned that both teams are familiar with one another in how they go about making their plays. He also mentioned that in a conversation with Bengals’ offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, he learned that Joe Burrow is taking things as they come, and the only thing that bothers him is a weak performance.

The host highlights how Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson says he’s feeling a bit ‘rusty,’ referring to his performance in Sunday’s opening game.

The injured Ravens

Many of the Ravens’ offensive lineup are recovering from injuries, including Mark Andrews with his quad injury, J.K. Dobbins who is on Injured Reserve after suffering an Achilles injury, and Ronnie Stanley, who will miss at least a week due to a sprain in his right knee. The Ravens’ defense might have to work overtime in this situation. It also puts a lot of pressure on Lamar Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr. to carry the offense on their shoulders.

As for Joe Burrow and the squad, it’s imperative for them to win this game after their poor start against the Browns. The host mentions that the Bengals are trying to put their past losses to the Browns behind them, emphasizing that simply writing off the game because of historical losses is not a good enough reason.
