A rare glimpse of high school Patrick Mahomes
A Chiefs fan page took the liberty to show the fans a glimpse of Patrick Mahomes in a Whitehouse high school football jersey. Along with his high school jersey, he has his signature smile on. His smiling mother, the ever-present figure in the Chiefs QB’s life, is in the photo too.
According to a fanpage called ‘Real Kansas City Chiefs Fans’, the photo is from one of his high school football games. As expected, the fans fell in love with the young version of their QB and the photo went viral. And most fans are of the opinion that the Super Bowl MVP looks just like his mom. Patrick Mahomes went to Texas Tech after his high school. But he didn’t stay there much longer as the QB decided to give up his senior year to fast-track his way into the NFL. Randi Mahomes opened up about it when the university inducted him to the ‘Ring of Honor’.

“When he left college early, I begged him to stay. I was the one begging him to stay because, you know, being a grown-up isn’t as always fun as it looks when you’re that age,” Randi said at the time.

But he did it anyway and went to the Chiefs as a first-round draft pick in 2017. And the rest, as they say, is history. He has established himself as one of the best QBs of his generation. His mother stands proud with him, still a pillar of support.
