The shenanigans surrounding Antonio Brown are no stranger to the NFL Universe. Several game enthusiasts may have a notorious image of the former NFL WR in their minds. However, one should not clot their minds over his divisive time in the league. AB is a popular figure among celebrities, and it once featured him in a Grammy-winning song’s music video.

Antonio Brown’s Hall of Fame-worthy career was abruptly ended. He left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game while it was still progressing. After being released by the franchise, he took over his secondary endeavors and never turned back in the sport. For NFL fans, January of 2022 was probably the last year to see AB grab throws and sprint for touchdowns.

When Grammy-winning rapper Drake released the music video for ‘God’s Plan,’ the NFL enthusiasts saw the surprise cameo of Antonio Brown. It may look like a surprising move, but both AB and Drake are good friends. They were born and raised in Miami and attended Miami Norland High School.

Both Drake and Antonio Brown shared the screen and were in various scenes. As per one of AB’s videos on YouTube, the rapper invited him to “make a moment in my hometown.” Brown has some crazy dance moves. However, his being a part of something courteous should not be overlapped with his off-field antics.

The “God’s Plan” video remains iconic, and the ex-NFL WR’s cameo helped it shine brighter. Now that AB has chosen music as a career, perhaps Drake will let him show up in another video — or collaborate on a song.

The story behind the cameo of Antonio Brown

The cameo of Antonio Brown is just more than an appearance and is no exemption to the video’s generous nature. Drake learned about Odalie Paret, a maid. She’s a mother of five who wakes up at 4:30 a.m. every day to start her daily route to work. Because of Miami-Dade County’s poor transport network, it took as long as four hours. But AB and Drake had something special in store for her.

As per Miami Herald, “A car was waiting to take Paret and a friend to Brickell City Centre, where they waited until the shopping center closed… Paret said Drake and Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who grew up in Miami and attended Miami Norland High School, arranged for a shopping spree for her and two other local women.
