Muhammad was the #17 pick in the 12th round at the 1980 NFL Draft. The Texas Southern alumni had a fantastic average of 21.5 yards per grab while playing with the Raiders in 1982–1983. He hauled in 16 passes for 344 yards and three touchdowns and also helped his team win the Super Bowl XVIII Championship.
