Allen, a contender for the MVP, completed just 18 of 34 passes for 205 yards. He recorded no passing touchdowns, and throw two interceptions. Bills #17 also took five sacks in the game. This disappointing effort upset many NFL fans.
When the Bills’ offense faltered in a fierce clash
Earlier, Josh Allen and his men entered the game as 10.5-point favorites. The Bills’ offense went out of order in the second half. They gained just 43 total yards on four drives. Despite a fighting show by Stefon Diggs (five catches, 93 yards), no Bills receiver could do much against the Jets.
A lot of hope was pinned on Allen. He entered the Sunday game after completing 65.5 percent of his passes for 19 touchdowns (six interceptions) and 2,198 passing yards. He also recorded 306 rushing yards and two scores. But his past form did not repeat against the Jets.
