Jimmy Garoppolo gave his best for the San Francisco 49ers in the 2022 season. But despite his performance, he still couldn’t nail his place in the Niners roster. Now, it is time for him to shine for his next team i.e. Las Vegas Raiders. Fans are of the opinion that the QB may finally find stability in his career. But an NFL Insider believes that may not be the case.
Rich Eisen said that a familiar ghost may chase Garoppolo even during his upcoming stint in Las Vegas. Will that be the case?

NFL Insider Rich Eisen has predicted a familiar story for Jimmy Garoppolo with the Las Vegas Raiders. Reacting to the new destination for the QB, Eisen envisioned the conversation that the Raiders and coach Josh McDaniel might have had with Garoppolo.
“They tell Jimmy that hey Jimmy, you’re gonna come here and you’re gonna help us out and you’re gonna run the program the way I want to run. And then what we’re gonna do is we’ll win as many games as we possibly can. At some point whoever we gonna choose seventh is gonna get the job,” Eisen said on his ‘Rich Eisen Show.’
But they might not have said that. Eisen thinks having such a conversation with Garoppolo could have been counterproductive. He called the QB’s situation the Trey Lance Syndrome.
“Or they mentioned nothing about the seventh overall because why would you do that with Jimmy Garoppolo. Especially since he’s kinda been there with Trey Lance. He probably has Trey Lance syndrome,” Eisen added.

The Raiders signed Garoppolo after their QB Derek Carr left the franchise after nine years. And the Raiders, who are starved for success, might want their new QB to repeat the form that he showed with the Niners last season.

Jimmy Garoppolo somehow got the starting job ahead of Trey Lance, the Niners’ top pick in the 2021 NFL draft. And he grabbed the chance with both hands. He played the majority of the regular season as Lance nursed a neck injury. And he created the foundation that helped rookie Brock Purdy to step in after he himself went down with an injury.
Garoppolo played 11 games for the Niners and threw 2,437 passing yards. He threw 16 touchdown passes and just four interceptions in eight wins and three losses. What a season he had. Only if the foot injury did not end his season.
