Minnesota Vikings star running back Dalvin Cook was never so proud of his younger brother, James Cook. The 26-year-old Pro Bowler is just excited for his brother, who has just won the National Championship and is now declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Vikings star, during his interview at the Pro Bowl practice session, stated, he was “very proud” of his younger brother. And that, it is a blessing for him to be his big brother. Since both the siblings play for the same spot, it’s fun for them to share that knowledge.

“For us to play the same position and share the same knowledge and, and go over the same things,” Dalvin said. “That’s a blessing too, but he didn’t have a long, long process to get where yet. And I’m just here to guide him through it now. Our relationship is as close as we get. Like right now, we stay together. We keep trying to find a draft, and I’m getting ready to go out and compete, but it’s just fun, we just have fun. We are at the prime of our life, and we just enjoyed it.”

James Cook, who is a running back prospect for the University of Georgia, won his National Championship against the Number 1 ranked Alabama. His exceptional athleticism and great versatility overpower his diminutive physicality. The 5 foot 11, 190 pounds RB is patient behind the line of scrimmage and spontaneous in identifying holes through the defensive line.

The New York Giants are expected to show interest in him during the draft since the RB depth chart of the Giants could be a problem for them heading towards the 2022 season. And it will be fun to watch the two brothers in opposing teams next year.

Cook brothers wreaking havoc
Dalvin Cook had a tremendous 2021 season. The Vikings did not clinch a playoff berth, and his contribution went underappreciated. He totaled 1159 yards in 249 carries and six touchdowns in 13 games this season.

While James, too, had a season of his life with Georgia. Along with winning the National Championship, he totaled 728 yards in 113 carries and seven touchdowns while rushing, and 284 yards in 27 receptions and four touchdowns while receiving in 15 games.

The Cook siblings are looking forward to the 2022 season, where they might get a chance to play against each other.
