The ending of the NFL regular season is an exciting time in the footballing community. The playoffs and Super Bowl are only a month away. Also, the All-Stars gather for the annual Pro Bowl games. This year’s showdown had its share of stars present. However, the next year’s event in Las Vegas will definitely miss one big defensive name from the league.
Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett has vowed to never play in the Pro Bowls again.Garrett is confident about making more Pro Bowls after being selected four times already. However, he is not going to participate in them because of an injury he suffered during this year’s games. Garrett called some of the Pro Bowl activities nonsensical, even suggesting the NFL some healthier alternatives.

As the Cleveland Browns get underway with their voluntary offseason training program in Berea, the franchise’s former No. 1 overall pick from the 2017 draft, Myles Garrett, is not feeling too good about his toe. More specifically, the right big toe that has been nagging him ever since he dislocated it during the Pro Bowl games in Allegiant Stadium this year.

Carolina Panthers DE Brian Burns in the obstacle course when the injury took place. Although the toe was later popped back in and Garrett required no additional surgery, the discomfort has persisted. “Run-away-from-the-cops obstacle course. Jumping over walls and fences. These words from Garrett are more impactful, especially after he played through a shoulder injury in the 2022 season.
Garrett sprained his shoulder in a car accident and played through, regardless, proving that he was not scared of injuries. However, the Pro Bowl activities look to be extra. And he had some suggestions to make the event better.How can the NFL fix the Pro Bowl?

You need to fix it, ’cause the guys are getting hurt,” former NFL DE and Pro Bowler Marcellus Wiley said in support of Myles Garrett. Wiley loved Garrett’s faith in himself to make future Pro Bowls and his confidence to turn it down in advance. “You know you are a beast. He’s like, no, I’m gonna make a few more. But no, I ain’t playing in them,” Wiley said.Myles Garrett has recorded double-digit sack numbers in the last 5 years with 16 sacks in each of the last two seasons. The 27-year-old Texas A&M product has time on his side and said that the toe injury should not be a problem by the time the 2023 season kicks in. However, Browns fans will still keep their fingers crossed.
