Not very long ago, the quarterback, Aaron Rodgers had sought a trade from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets. The player played for his previous shade of green for 18 seasons then switched to a different green. This season is his first to be playing for the Jets. But again, what happened during the first game came out as a heartbreaking moment for A-Rod’s squad.

It was the Super Bowl MVP’s first game of the season with the Jets but things didn’t turn out as expected. In less than 5 minutes of the match beginning, the 4x NFL MVP got injured and was put on a cart to take him to medical help. It is speculated to be the injury the Jets fear the most, a torn Achilles injury.

The former football star quarterback, Peyton Manning was shocked to see Rodgers like that. He thought it was just a tiny ankle injury and Rodgers would be back on-field in a few seconds but to his surprise, that wasn’t the case. He said, “Holy cow! I cannot believe this. I thought it was just an ankle, I thought we go tapping off and get him back in there, come on!”

The quarterback, Mahomes also shared on Twitter that, “Hate that man…praying for the best.” Mahomes also added an emoji of joined hands to emphasize his prayers and support for the player.

While everyone is hoping for Rodgers’ speedy recovery, fans are also curious to know about his injury status, and the time it would take to heal.

The time needed for an Achilles injury to heal

Usually, the amount of time needed for an Achilles injury to heal is at least a year and sometimes even more. As Rodgers professionally plays football, if he has this injury, it would take him less time than an average person to heal as he can solely focus on getting himself healed.

It’s not Rodgers’ first injury on-field, he has had his fair share of football-related injuries before. So much so, that he has been placed on the IR in his initial years of football. Recovering from this injury should not be a major challenge considering his strong past history while dealing with injuries.
