Fans are looking forward to watching Deion Sanders whip up his magic with the Colorado Buffaloes. After joining Colorado from Jackson State in a whopping $30 million contract as the HC, fans will hope for Coach Prime to do his thing and bring the football program out of their 1-11 slump last season. He had three successful years with JSU, leading them to back-to-back SWAC Championships in 2021 and 2022. But his methods to revive Colorado’s glory have already received criticism from the college football scene, as his arrival saw the massive exodus of 51 scholarship players in the NCAA transfer portal. But that is not the only point of concern for Deion Sanders at the moment.

While drawing up a game plan for the Buffaloes for their new season, Coach Prime has another major problem to address in the coming days. And it is a problem that directly correlates to his own health and well-being. 

Deion Sanders has a major health scare

If you know Deion Sanders, you would also know about the health complications he faced last year that were caused by foot surgery. Sanders underwent the knife to address a dislocated toe and an inflamed nerve last fall. After returning to the sidelines on a golf cart and wheelchair, he had further complications that led him to the hospital bed once again for 23 days. After several more surgeries to treat the complications, Deion Sanders had to amputate two of his toes after suffering from life-threatening blood clots.

And now, while the pain consistently persisted, Coach Prime has come forward once again to address this issue with his medical team. During an episode of the THEE Pre Game show on YouTube, the HC opened up about how he cannot feel any sensation at the bottom of his left foot currently. The medical team advised Sanders to go through another surgery before the start of the 2023 season or it could cause major problems later on.

While not wanting to hamper his plans for the Colorado football program, Sanders will be looking to address this problem before the season to not miss out on any action. And fans have come forward to show their support for Coach Prime’s turbulent time.
