Millions of people watched the Super Bowl LVII game where K.C. Chiefs defeated the Eagles. They picked sides and constantly tweeted about all that was happening in the game on Twitter. Even the president of the United States told everyone that he supported Philadelphia Eagles because his wife was supporting them too.

Biden’s Super Bowl tweet got 29 million views. However, the SpaceX CEO’s tweet could only reach 9.1 million people. Even though the 51-year-old businessman has more followers than Biden, his tweet failed to gain more views. But after that Musk’s personal tweets traffic skyrocketed by nearly 740%. He ordered his engineers to change the Twitter algorithm so that his tweets could get more recognition.
As reported by tech outlet The Performer, Musk’s cousin, James Musk, who also works at Twitter, asked engineers to make the situation better. As a result, more tweets from Mr. Musk appeared on users’ timelines around the world, even if they were not following him. The program artificially enhanced Musk’s tweets by a factor of 1,000.
It was also said that he had threatened to fire employees if they did not comply with his orders. Additionally, Musk fired an engineer who tried to explain how the billionaire’s engagement in tweets dropped because of falling user interest.

Even though many people believed what The Platformer reported, Elon Musk refuted the claims. He said, “The ‘source’ of the bogus Platformer article is a disgruntled employee who had been on paid time off for months, had already accepted a job at Google and felt the need to poison the well on the way out. Twitter will be taking legal action against him.”
