Replying to a reporter’s question about snap issues, the 2x SB Champion said, “It was kind of greedy on me, trying to go verbal on some of those cadences and we had a little bit of miscommunication.” The Chiefs’ Week 1 losing match against the Lions was a heartbreaking affair for Mahomes and Chiefs fans. Dropped passes and miscommunication between the team members turned out to be the fatal flaws.
It is something the 2x SB Champion has struggled with ever since he began playing in the NFL. His greed for plays. Only Mahomes knows whether it is because he wants to take pressure off his defense, or because he wants to lead his team by example, or he wants to prove himself as the next Tom Brady. undoubtedly, in the league right now, no one has a better claim than the Kansas City Chiefs QB.
But now with his partner Travis Kelce back on the field, after he missed Week 1 due to a hyperextended knee injury, Mahomes should feel less pressurized. Mahomes may call it being greedy, but it can be looked at from another angle. Mahomes is not greedy. He is driven.

If you pull up his post-game interviews with the media, it is something the QB has alluded to every time he has a bad match. But, it has worked! The five years (excluding this one), that he has been in the league, he has led his team to the Super Bowls three times. And won twice! He has also been crowned MVP two times. How many players can boast a resume like Mahomes?
But Mahomes also has had excellent offensive weapons to work with such as the likes of TE Travis Kelce and WR Tyreek “The Cheetah” Hill, before he went off to the Miami Dolphins. The only argument that can be made in favor of Mahomes restraining himself on the field is to let the other players get their chances as well.
