Alvin Kamara played his fifth Pro Bowl on Sunday, but it looks like his carnival ride may end. The New Orleans Saints star running back, Alvin Kamara, has been arrested and booked for battery in Las Vegas.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, they charged Kamara with “battery resulting in substantial bodily harm.” The investigation is ongoing. Kamara, currently in custody, is being held on bail of $5000 and will appear in court on Monday. The LVMPD has requested the public to contact them if they have any information concerning this incident.

At around 5:30 pm on February 5th, Kamara assaulted a man who was rushed to a local hospital. The incident took place at a nightclub on South Las Vegas Boulevard. Subsequently, on February 6th, the LVMPD detectives identified the suspect as Alvin Kamara, and took him into custody.

Police booked Kamara for a battery that resulted in substantial bodily harm and is currently in the Clark County Detention Center. TMZ reports that battery is a serious felony offense in Nevada, and Kamara could face several years in prison if convicted.

In the 2017 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints drafted Alvin Kamara, who played college football at Tennessee. Kamara was the 2017 NFL Rookie of the Year and has made five appearances at the Pro Bowl. In addition, Kamara has twice entered the All-Pro second team.

In the 2021 NFL season, Kamara made 898 rushing yards, 439 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns for the Saints, earning a spot in his 5th Pro Bowl. On Sunday at the Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas, Kamara made four grabs for 23 yards in the Pro Bowl. He got arrested soon after NFC’s loss in the Pro Bowl.

Kamara’s currently incarcerated, and the investigation is underway. The New Orleans Saints are yet to release a statement regarding his arrest. However, for further updates on his investigation, stay tuned to this section.
