Portland State Vikings find new heroes against the Stallions

The Portland side was hurt by a crushing loss against Oregon earlier in the competition. A side seeking redemption turned up against the Stallions on 16 September. The red-letter day saw Vikings stepping up to the occasion and delivering a performance of a lifetime. It was Dante Chachere’s night as he started off the proceedings with three TD passes. He soon followed it up with five backs for seven TDs as he shattered the Big Sky Conference Record.

For Vikings, the touchdowns came in heaps- while some came through air with effortless passes, others came via ground with clean running and skillful breaching of Stallions defenses. By halftime, the Vikings were already in the driving seat with 63 points lead over the North American side. Vikings landed the final assault with four more touchdowns in the final quarter as the match ended with 91 points to the home side and Stallions on zero.

This is one match that would be talked about in NCAA history for ages to come. Vikings looked like a side on a mission to win and instantly made their presence felt. The NCAA competition is shaping up nicely with the battered and bruised Stallions side looking to recover from the loss in their next game.
