The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rose to prominence with the Tom Brady effect. When the NFL GOAT chose Tampa, the NFL Universe witnessed a shocker. The legendary quarterback made sure he clinches his seventh ring in his debut in the Bay. Brady also brought in some of his familiar faces from his Patriots days, which became like the icing on top.

The Tom Brady Lombardi toss remains iconic. It all worked out because of Cameron Brate’s spider-sense-like instincts. But if he missed, the trophy could have gone down into the Hillsborough River — 80 feet deep. However, a Tampa Police Department Officer claims the area where Brady threw the prize was not that deep.

Officer Chris Audet saw the moment while driving next to Brady’s vessel. He mentions via The Athletic, “My first thought was, ‘That is absolutely epic. That is the most amazing thing.’ Simultaneously, I was thinking ‘Oh, my God, if this thing goes in the water, it’s going to be absolute chaos.’ It’d be the coolest thing in the world for me as a diver to go down and get it and come up with the Lombardi.”

Imagine, if the trophy sank, Chris Audet could have a dramatic entry while surfacing with the prize by lifting it out of the water at first.

Lynch mentions seeing the trophy in Tom’s hand and the Godwin boat coming closer, allowing minimum space. Fortunately, he saw the red light on the camera. He then says, “Thank God you’re recording. Let’s throw this thing.” While several people would have divisive thoughts over the moment, it all comes down to just one word. Exemplary.
