He may have gone past his playing days and taken up a new rap gimmick. Inevitably, he has a boatload of supporters despite all odds. However, the Hollywood Police Dept. once grew so upset over AB that they gave back the donations the ex-Bucs WR made.

In 2020, the HPD and Antonio Brown hit a rough patch during a domestic incident. The scene occurred at AB’s Florida home, which involves him and the mother of his kids, Chelsie Kyriss. HPD claimed Brown cursed and denigrated the authorities during an Instagram live. It resulted in them cutting ties with the WR and returning a sizable charity check.
The Hollywood Police Dept mentioned via TMZ, “We made the decision to sever ties between Mr. Brown and the Hollywood Police Athletic League. We did not want our youth to be subject to this type of behavior nor emulate the actions of Mr. Brown… We will not take money from a donor that we cannot have our youth be proud of or represent our organization.”

According to reports, Antonio Brown is well-liked by the police. The HPD permitted Brown to use their Police Athletic League football field for workouts. They now forbid him from exercising on their ground. If he comes back, they might detain him for trespassing.

Police said that Brown had supported the HPD’s 7-on-7 football league financially. The donation was for the same purpose. But the dept just gave it back after parting all allegiances.

After the fiasco, Antonio Brown tried to mend the situation with the police department in Hollywood. Roughly three weeks after the domestic dispute event, he apologized to the authorities via Instagram. Moreover, the unsigned wideout added a lengthy statement that discussed his unusual behavior with a picture of Hollywood law enforcement officers.

With the apology note, AB thanked the ones who sincerely admitted his plea. He also mentions looking forward to working with them all again soon. Brown stated heartfelt gratitude to everyone who acknowledged his apology in good faith. Additionally, he says he expects to collaborate with the athletic league again shortly.
