T.J. Watt returned to the field on November 13, 2022, but he was far from his usual self. The 28-yeay-old was one of the NFL’s most fearsome defenders, but his injury had left a gaping hole in the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ defense. The Steelers couldn’t stop their rivals from scoring, putting more pressure on the offense.

Meanwhile, Watt shared his recovery journey on the Footbahlin With Ben Roethlisberger podcast on Sunday. He admitted that the injury that kept him out for seven games in 2022 was the hardest one he ever faced. But he is not looking back, as he is coming with a new attitude for all 31 opponents with an unsettling three-word warning.

T.J. Watt has been a sack machine for the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording 77.5 sacks in his first six seasons with the team, the most by any Steelers player in that span. He is followed by LaMarr Woodley with 52.0 sacks, Joey Porter with 42.5 sacks, Keith Willis with 40.5 sacks, and Bud Dupree with 39.5 sacks. The Steelers’ outside linebacker is not picky about his prey & doesn’t care if they are big or small, strong or fast, he will hunt them down.

He made that clear when he answered Ben Roethlisberger’s question on the ‘Footbahlin With Ben Roethlisberger’ podcast. The Steelers’ former quarterback asked him: “Do you want a big guy that is just strong as an Ox, but can’t move? Or a little guy that maybe isn’t super strong but is quick and chippy?” T.J. Watt replied with three icy words: “It doesn’t matter.” That’s a scary message for all the other quarterbacks in the league.
