The Philadelphia Eagles had one of the best Drafts among all the NFL teams. They added some young players with a huge upside. However, their best business on the day was through a trade with which they added a proven veteran.
Philly’s offense needed a veteran as they had a young offensive core. Jalen Hurts, the Eagles quarterback, needed another impactful receiver to elevate his game to the next level. As a result, the franchise made a significant move on Draft Day as they acquired WR AJ Brown from the Tennessee Titans for the 18th and 101st overall picks.

Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman gave an insight into the AJ Brown trade
Talking about the AJ Brown trade, Howie Roseman said, “Yeah, during the week we had conversations with a lot of teams in the league and talking to Tennessee and about the draft. Obviously looking at A.J. and the kind of player he is and what was going on in league with the receivers, the conversation started talking about the first-round picks and, you know, kind of came to terms quickly there.”

Howie Roseman thinks that the inclusion of AJ Brown to the Eagles will be a perfect fit for their offense alongside the likes of Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, and Jalen Reagor.
The Eagles GM said, “Yeah, we talked about the receiver room and talked about it like a basketball team. You really got a guy like AJ, who’s a power forward, really strong. He’s got great play strength, really good with the ball in his hands. Obviously DeVonta and the skill set he has, route runner, hands, ball skills. We got some young guys. Quez Watkins, Jalen Reagor, Zach Pascal, Greg Ward, who has been here for a long time.”
