The rivalry between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning is one of the most epic in NFL history. Both are legends of the game and have shared the field multiple times. Brady once apparently robbed a major honor of Manning, who played for the Colts and the Broncos.
According to Kevin Cole of Pro Football Focus, Manning should have gotten the nod for the First-Team All-Decade selection instead of Brady. He proved statistically that Manning had a better decade in the 2000s than Brady did.

Peyton Manning had won four MVP awards during that span. On the other hand, Tom Brady won only one MVP award in the 2000s. Moreover, Peyton Manning had a better passer rating than Brady in every season except 2007.

As a result, Kevin Cole firmly believed that Peyton Manning should have been selected over Tom Brady.
The argument between Manning and Brady could go on forever, as both had tremendous success on the field during that time.

Why was Tom Brady selected over Peyton Manning?
The biggest argument Tom Brady fans can make for why he was selected over Peyton Manning in the First-Team All-Decade was the amount of Super Bowl wins.

The former New England Patriots quarterback was able to win three Super Bowls in that decade. On the other hand, Manning was able to win only one Super Bowl during that time. Further, Brady also boasts a better record while going head to head with Peyton Manning over the course of their careers.

Maybe because of this reason, Brady was selected over Manning. Both are excellent quarterbacks, but Brady always had the edge over Manning because of his Super Bowl wins. Tom Brady has won more Super Bowls than any other NFL franchise. That itself defines his greatness in the game.
