Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are one of the biggest names in the NFL fraternity. As the Magic-Bird combination makes a blast in basketball, Ali-Frazier in boxing, and Messi-Ronaldo in soccer, the NFL has Brady-Manning rivalries to show the world. Recently, the ESPN network released a video snippet with these two legends in a single frame. The duo discussed each other’s life and past experiences.

While talking about the upcoming draft, Brady had his piece of advice for the youngsters ready to get drafted in this year’s class.

Tom Brady advises youngsters to take their chances

As the draft season is approaching, Brady doled out an inspiring message. “That’s a good lesson, and I have told these young players. I mean listen y’all I don’t give a sh*t, if you’re a first-round pick, I was 199th. But listen, if you get a chance to be on the field, don’t mess it up. Because you may never get a second one.” Brady said. Indeed, the Buccaneers quarterback has come a long way.

It was 2000, and Brady was hanging on as the fourth quarterback for the New England Patriots. He was the sixth-round draft choice and the 199th overall selection by the New England Patriots. His fortune shined in the subsequent season when Brady was picked as the starting QB for the team and led the Patriots to win their first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXVI.

He helped the team win 17 division titles, and 13 AFC Championship games and made nine Super Bowl appearances winning six of them.

The 44-year-old holds nearly every major quarterback record, including passing yards, completions, touchdown passes, and games started, in addition to the most Pro Bowl selections.

Peyton Manning played for 18 seasons in the NFL, among which 14 were with the Indianapolis Colts and the rest 4 with the Denver Broncos. The University of Tennessee alumni was selected first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Colts. Three years down the line, the epic rivalry kicked off with a series of games that took place between 2001 and 2015 between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

The duo played each other seventeen times with Brady winning the head-to-head series 11–6. Except in 2002, 2008, and 2011; Manning and Brady met each other at least once every season.

These are the only two starting quarterbacks to win Super Bowls with multiple franchises. Manning went on to win five MVP awards in his 18-year career, while Brady has three over the past 20 seasons. All these statistics imply that being picked in the first round doesn’t matter, all that requires is the right skills and hard work.
