Peyton Manning visited Shanghai, China, after winning the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos in 2016. While there, he talked about his Super Bowl 50 triumph. He was also asked about his view on Colin Kaepernick protesting during the NFL games.

Back then, Kaepernick had started kneeling during the national anthem before NFL games. As a result, he faced backlash from many people for his actions. By virtue of the First Amendment (free speech), Kaepernick and his peers are guaranteed the right to kneel during the National Anthem, regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with his stance.
According to 247 sports, Peyton Manning acknowledged this right of Kaepernick. Manning said this during his appearance in China. Ironically, Manning expressed his views candidly in China, where his thoughts got distinctly highlighted.
Colin Kaepernick has been out of the NFL since 2017
Colin Kaepernick played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2017. After he started protests before the NFL Games, he faced scrutiny. He hasn’t been a part of the league since 2017.
The reason for his long absence from the league is rather debatable. Some people think he had slowly started to regress on the field, which is why no team takes a chance on him. On the other hand, some believe it is due to his actions on the field.

Kaepernick is a prominent figure in America. Whichever team he signs for will be under a lot of attention. Many speculate this to be one of the reasons for his exile from the league.
Kap has made multiple attempts to return to the league for the last five years. So far, he hasn’t found any success. However, that could change pretty soon, as he recently attended a workout with the Las Vegas Raiders.

There is optimism around the league that Kaepernick will get signed by someone. Only time will tell whether or not Colin Kaepernick will make his much-awaited return to the league.
