The offseason began with blockbuster trades hoping to revamp the teams and bring the best. Similarly, the Broncos and Colts engaged in trade talks to improve their lineups. Moreover, they hope to perform better now, and Peyton Manning feels so. As a result, the Broncos made a successful trade to get Russell Wilson, and the Colts bagged Matt Ryan.

Nevertheless, both teams have high expectations from these two players. Further, the legend QB feels both have the calibre of managing high expectations owing to their skills and experience. In addition, both QBs are known for strengthening their offensive lineups and would look to do the same in the upcoming season.

Speaking on the trade and expectations from both the QBs, Manning said, “I mean, look; obviously when you play quarterback in the NFL there’s certainly expectations. I think Russell and Matt, they have high expectations for themselves. They want to work together with the team, get on the same page; and want to help the team win and do their part. So, I think both of them will handle that well.”

Moreover, for the Broncos, Wilson is the most significant trade as a QB since Peyton Manning himself. The former Seahawks’ quarterback led his team to eight playoff appearances in 10 seasons. In addition, it also included a Super Bowl win in 2013. On the other hand, the Colts are making a bold move by getting Matt Ryan, who is worth 14 seasons of experience.

Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan continue their due diligence with the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. Moreover, both have a chip on their shoulder to deliver significant results. Peyton commented on his advice to both the QBs, “I talked to both of them kinda during the process. I tried to be a resource as I try to be for all quarterbacks.”

He added, “And the same with Russell, right? It’s a new chapter for him. Broncos fans and players are hungry. We’ve been in a little bit of a drought the past few years and it’s time to get the Broncos back to where they’re supposed to be.”
