Peter Skoronski’s Journey to the NFL
While much of the offseason talk has centered around Will Levis, the 33rd pick of the draft, the story of Skoronski has often been buried amidst talk show host hot takes. Levis was certainly the story of the draft after the projected top 10 draft pick fell over twenty spots to land in the hands of the Titans. But the story of Skoronski is certainly one that deserves the limelight.
The Illinois native was projected between the 15-25 draft range in most mock drafts. But after an outstanding Draft Combine performance, the OT was selected by the Titans at the 11th spot. With his selection, he added to a long list of Wildcats heritage, especially after taking home unanimous All-American honors in his final year with the team. As Skoronski continues to turn heads throughout the league, he sends a clear message to every lineman waiting to square up against him: get out of his way or prepare to be steamrolled.
