Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady had one roller coaster of a year. And as he steps into the new year with a divisional title and a confirmed playoff berth, Brady seems renewed and rejuvenated. Tom looks back at 2022 and thinks of it as just another hill he has successfully climbed. That includes the much-publicized divorce from his wife of 13 years, Gisele Bündchen.

Tom Brady spent a short 40-days retirement in February 2022. And it’s speculated that his return is why Gisele didn’t wait around. After all that, the season didn’t start that well for Brady and Co. either. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were under the 500 mark more than once during this season. All Tom Brady retirement talks can come to a halt now. Especially since the recent revelations that came out on the podcast. On being asked about his 14th straight career playoff appearance and if he will share his stories with his grandkids, Brady said that he had a better plan. TB12 dreams of playing with or against his grandchildren in the NFL playoffs one day. And with that statement, Tom crossed the level previously set by LeBron James, who said he wants to play with his son in the NBA before he retires.

On people always asking him why he doesn’t want to retire, the former New England Patriots QB had his answer ready one more time. “I know people [say], ‘Tom, you should have retired. You should have done this, you should have done that.’ You know, and that’s okay. People can have a lot of feelings or opinions. But for me, there’s always gratification when you make this commitment and you have a group of individuals that do the same and you see something payoff,” the 15x Pro Bowler told Jim Gray.
