After the opening fixture humiliation for the Packers, Aaron Rodgers came under widespread criticism. Criticisms ranged from him being past his prime to being too egotistical to not take a wage cut in the pre-season to help improve the team.

Responding to his critics from the Packers‘ 38-3 loss, Rodgers said, “I think we maybe tried to show that we cared a little bit more tonight… I just think people like to say a lot of bullshit, and it’s nice to come back in here after a game like that.”

Rodgers later explained how he is so used to criticisms that it doesn’t affect him anymore. “I think that there’s even more now than when I started playing. There’s so many overreactions that happen on a week-to-week basis. So it’s nice to come out, have a good performance and get the trolls off our back for at least a week.”
