Former New England Patriots wideout and champion Julian Edelman was present last night at the Allegiant Stadium where he witnessed his team squander the game away in the dying seconds. And Edelman didn’t leave much to the imagination, making it accurately clear how he felt about the loss.

The New England Patriots lost 30-24 to the Las Vegas Raiders in the most dramatic fashion. And Tom Brady’s trusted wide receiver was appalled at the unexplainable turnover that handed the loss to Bill Belichick’s men. Or so it seemed. The NFL world reacted to Edelman, and it wasn’t all support for the former Patriot. Moreover, most fans thought that Julian was inebriated.

What the f—- are we doing? What are we doing?” Julian Edelman shouted in despair. However, moments later, Edelman maintained eye contact with the camera and threw his cap in a dramatic manner. And fans think Julian staged the entire reaction for the likes.

The Patriots are a .500 team this season after the loss. And some wanted the three-time Super Bowl champion to come back and help Belichick out. Julian Edelman retired in 2021 after spending 12 years at Foxborough. In his peak years, he recorded three 1000+ yards seasons with Brady and Co.

The botched play that had Julian Edelman fuming was truly one of a kind

The game was tied at 24 points each and the clock had less than 40 seconds. And fans were getting ready for overtime when the unthinkable happened. Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson ran for a massive 172 yards, including a touchdown.

However, in the last play of the game, Stevenson threw a lateral pass to WR Jakobi Meyers, who tried the same thing and tried to get the ball to NE quarterback Mac Jones.

What happened next was not something anyone was expecting to see. However, former Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones did. He probably ran it before, during his time with Belichick. Jones forced a fumble, picked up the ball, stiff-armed Mac Jones, and ran for a 48-yard touchdown sealing the game. This loss put the six-time Super Bowl champions, the Patriots, out of the AFC playoff picture. The 6-8 Raiders still have a tiny glimmer of hope to secure a wildcard berth.
