Bill Belichick is never short of controversies. The whole NFL world is familiar with his scandals in the past, and this season hasn’t been so different. It has only been a few weeks since his team’s two OTA training dismissals for a rule violation. However, it didn’t take long for him to make the headlines again. In a recent press conference, the head coach of the Patriots deflated a question after being asked about DeAndre Hopkins’ visit.
Although there have been several reports that indicate Hopkins’ visit to the Patriots’ camp, Bill revealed that he is completely unaware, and added that he isn’t a ‘travel agent‘ of the team. This interaction made rounds on the internet, but his name was made used by the controversial star, Antonio Brown, for a completely different purpose.

In a clip of the said conference, posted on Twitter, the HC of the Patriots was seen walking to the podium and greeting the reporters. After greeting the reporters, “Good morning,” he casually asked one of them, “How is business?” to which, the reporter slyly answered, “Boomin.” This small interaction was posted on Twitter, tagging Brown, and asking if he was being considered for a return. Later, the controversial star quote retweeted the interaction with the same caption, which read “Boomin”

Belichick was caught off guard by the reporter’s response for a reason, as the owner of Albany Empire, Antonio Brown, released a song titled ‘Business Boomin’ one year after his exit from the NFL in 2021. Although the response from the reporter was very surprising, the Patriots HC graced the reporter with a smile and mimicked ‘Boomin’. This innocent interaction spread through the internet like wildfire with thousands of speculation about Brown’s return.

Will Brown make a return to the Patriots?
After Brown’s outrage on the field, while playing for the Buccaneers, he was let go from the team in an instant. And there weren’t any interested parties to recruit him as well. It seemed almost certain that his career was done for. However, Brown clung to his past behavior and constantly came under scrutiny. He did whatever it took to stay relevant and find his way back to the NFL.

Although there have been certain rumors about his return, no team in the league has even remotely shown interest in him. Outside of the NFL, his recent purchase of the football club is under scrutiny as well, when he was accused of foul play. Several reports indicate that he was unable to pay the players and coaches of his newly bought team. So, it is not very certain if an NFL team is willing to carry this much liability. However, Brown is set to make a return for his own team from the NAL, in the near future.
