New England Patriots Head Coach, Bill Belichick compared talented WR, Jakobi Meyers, with one of his former Super Bowl-winning heroes, Julian Edelman. The 70-year-old coach said Meyers, who came as a rookie free agent, has done enough to impress him. The experienced coach lauded the 25-year-old for his hard work.

“It’s really fun to see guys develop like that. Come in and not be very far along but then progressively just keep stacking, and stacking, and stacking and stacking,” Belichick said. However, the coach added he does not mean to say both are the same players.
Jakobi Meyers is looking bright after his injury break
Earlier, Meyers missed a couple of games with a knee injury. He returned to action in the 29-0 win against the Lions. The young talent made a significant mark in that game, with his first 100-yard receiving game, of the season.
It was a game where he took seven catches on eight targets for 111 yards. The talented youngster also scored the only offensive touchdown of the game. He captured a 24-yard pass from Bailey Zappe, to sum up, a great show.
Former Super Bowl winner, Julian Edelman, has played 12 seasons for the Patriots. He is the second wide receiver to win the Super Bowl MVP. Edelman joined the Patriots as a seventh-round converted QB. He made his mark in the fifth pro season.

Bill Belichick aims for seventh Super Bowl title
The noted coach has won six Super Bowl titles. His former QB, Tom Brady has won seven. Meanwhile, Belichick is hungry for the ninth one and has given a lot of motivation to one of his top-performing WRs. An experienced campaigner, Belichick, is looking at the right men to push the team forward. He has a mission to rewrite NFL history.

However, the Patriots had a shaky start to the new season. They won two and lost three games. Bill Belichick and Co. are ranked fourth in the AFC East Division, behind the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins. They will look to revive their campaign to keep their playoff chances alive, in a tough group.
