Mayor Pureval takes a dig at Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs
29th of January, 2023 declared “They Gotta Play Us Day” in Cincinnati. He made the statement in reference to the upcoming game between the Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals on the 29th.
The comment was seen as a slight against Mahomes, but the ultimate taunt was yet to come. Pureval announced that he’s asked officials to take a paternity test for Joe Burrow to know whether he’s Patrick Mahomes’ ‘father.’ The comment has had Chiefs’ fans livid and even incited a response from Patrick’s wife, Brittany.
