Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes faced off against each other on the grand stage of Super Bowl LV. It was a once-in-a-lifetime matchup. The stage was set in the Raymond James Stadium as the greatest quarterback of all time faced against the player who is said to be the next GOAT.

The buildup to that game was tremendous. During the buildup, Brittany Matthews, now Patrick Mahomes‘s wife, took a subtle dig at Tom Brady. Even though she had been a fan of the GOAT for a long time. Brittany didn’t shy away from supporting Mahomes.
She had retweeted a tweet that showed Mahomes as the GOAT on the rise. The picture also consisted of an old GOAT who was small in size. It referred to Brady, as the Chiefs fans highlighted the factor that Mahomes has already become better than Brady.

Before this instance, Brittany Matthews had already taken shots at Brady earlier too. Back in December 2019, Brittany tweeted, “All patriots fans ‘we still have 6 Super Bowls’ Lololol. Once [P]atrick has been in the league as long as Brady, then chat to me about Super Bowls! Patrick is 24, [B]rady is 42… you just wait.”
This tweet was later deleted, but it showed that Brittany Mahomes was no longer a fan of Tom Brady. Fair to her, she is now a full-time Chiefs fan and is seen supporting them on almost every game day.
Tom Brady got the better of Patrick Mahomes on the biggest stage
The clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs was a highly anticipated one. However, the outcome of the game was rather one-sided. The Bucs completely dominated the Chiefs throughout that game.

The Bucs stopped Mahomes and the Chiefs from scoring even a single touchdown. The O-Line of the Chiefs was crucified because of injuries, and that played a huge role in their loss in that Super Bowl.
There is still a chance that we might see Brady and Mahomes on the biggest stage once again. However, to make that possible, both teams need to be at their best, as there is no clear-cut favorite to reach the Super Bowl this season.
