The Kansas City Chiefs are playing their most outstanding season. They wanted their defensive tackle to give his best after the pass rush hadn’t been as effective as it should have been over the previous several seasons. Patrick Mahomes’ teammate delivered and proved his ability. Thus, he’s the player who will earn an astounding amount of incentive.

Chris Jones, the 28-year-old defensive tackle has proved to be a consistent threat to their rivals. Jones has proved himself to be better than the rest and has elevated his game. Because of his powerful performance, he is entering the conversations for the Defensive Player of the Year. 

Jones accumulated 10 sacks, which earned him an incentive of a whopping $1.25 million away. Not only is Jones stuffing his sheets, but he’s also making smart decisions. Like when he sacked Justin Herbert in the fourth quarter. Before him, Aaron Donald topped the list in pass-rush wins. 

The shorthanded Rams fell flat against Patrick Mahomes and Co. 

The Los Angeles Rams, although, played intensively, the Chiefs rose as the dominant team who proved why they are the best in the league in a 26-10 win on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

The lead QB of the Rams, Matthew Stafford, did not play against Kansas City because he was down with a sprained neck. Instead of him, underrated free agent Bryce Perkins started the game. This marked his first and fruitless NFL start.

Although he could not help his team win against the overpowered Chiefs, the 25-year-old made too few mistakes. The University of Virginia alumni scored a touchdown drive and threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter.  

Although Perkins played to his best ability, Patrick Mahomes came clean and confessed that it was not the best game. According to him, the execution was not well in the red zone because of an interception, but the defense powered through.

Mahomes was successful on 27 of his 42 attempts for 320 yards, a score, and an interception.
