Patrick Mahomes has announced the start of the new season with some workouts on the field. And with it, come the ‘Mahomes 1 Blue 80 colorway’ shoes. The Chiefs QB took to Instagram to announce the launch of the new edition in partnership with Adidas.

“A new season starts today on the other side of the parking lot,” Mahomes wrote in the caption of his Instagram post
But rather than the shoes, the fans talked about the QB’s legs and calves. Here are some fan reactions.

The Mahomes and Adidas partnership goes back to 2017, the year the QB came into the NFL. The sports apparel giant fulfills all his clothing requirements on the training and game field. And Mahomes repays them by achieving all he has in his career.

The Chiefs picked up Patrick Mahomes as the 10th overall pick of the 2017 draft. That was the time that Adidas joined his camp. When they signed with him, he was still a backup in the Chiefs system. It’s safe to say Adidas probably saw the fire the fans see in him now.
That faith started to repay itself in 2018 when Mahomes took the starting job at the Arrowhead Stadium. The QB has taken the franchise to five-straight AFC championship games. He and the Chiefs have featured on three Super Bowls since 2018 and won two of them.
