27-year-old Patrick Mahomes has embarked on the path to replace Tom Brady as the NFL’s greatest player. NFL analyst Harry Douglas has stated that Mahomes won’t need seven Super Bowl titles to surpass Tom Brady as the greatest of all time (GOAT). Douglas even compared their stats to further conclude his statement, and the stats were in Mahomes’ favor.
Brady waved his final goodbye to the gridiron at the age of 45, after that the former New England Patriots quarterback embarked on several ventures, becoming a minority stake owner in the Birmingham City F.C. being his most recent one. However, adding to the Mahomes and Brady’s scenario, Brady’s former franchise’s newfound quarterback chipped in his view by hailing Brady’s supremacy.

Dakota Randall the New England Patriots beat reporter, shared on his Twitter account highlighting Mac Jones’ view on Tom Brady. Bill Belichick’s newfound quarterback, potentially a successor for Brady, Jones claimed that Brady is the greatest of all time.
Sharing the statement, Randall wrote, “Mac Jones: Tom Brady’s the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL.” Adding more context to the scenario Randall added, “Jones was asked about how his situation (basically replacing Tom Brady) relates to what Jordan Love is going through with the Packers.”. However, both Jones and Jordan Love are facing a similar situation with their franchises.

In one of the recent videos uploaded on GetUpESPN’s Twitter account, analyst Harry Douglas stated, “I don’t think it’s going to take seven Super Bowls for Mahomes to surpass Tom Brady as the GOAT”. Further backing up his statement he compared Mahomes and Brady’s stats of the first five seasons in the league. Following this, it came out that Mahomes averaged 303.2 passing yards, and Brady averaged 228 per game.
Moreover, Mahomes already won two Super Bowl championships, and Brady won seven Super Bowl titles in his career of 22 years. With Mahomes being just 6 seasons old in the NFL, there’s a long way to go for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. As the 2023 NFL season is ringing the bell, Mahomes and the team will gain anticipation about defending their title against the 31 formidable teams.
