The Kansas City Chiefs, as expected, have been a force this season. The team is currently on a 3-game winning streak as they improved to 7-2 for the year. Patrick Mahomes has been his usual self as he continues to tear up the league. As the Chiefs look to carry their hot form into the second half of the season, there might be a hiccup.

The Kansas Chiefs’ in-form wide receiver, Mecole Hardman, missed their last game due to an abdomen injury. As things stand, it wasn’t just a single game that he was sidelined for.
Big blow for the Chiefs
Hardman missed the Chiefs’ recent win against the Jaguars. Nursing an abdomen injury, he was ruled out for their matchup. Post the game, he has been placed on injured reserve, which means he’ll not see the field for 4 games guaranteed. Though they managed a comfortable win without him, Patrick Mahomes will miss his star wide receiver’s presence. Before the injury, Hardman was on absolute fire. He was on a three-game touchdown streak.
In his last showing against the Titans, he racked up heavy numbers as well. He caught 6 passes, including a touchdown, and covered 79 yards.
Hardman picking on this momentum would have meant some scary hours for the NFL as a wide receiver with that kind of form and Mahomes threading the needle from the back, is just a recipe for an offensive masterclass.

Not much to worry about for Patrick Mahomes
While the Chiefs have a stacked roster, they might find themselves short-handed as Juju Smith has been out of sight since going off the field for a concussion. With him also out, Marquez Scantling and Kadarius Toney will get a run in Patrick Mahomes’ O-line.
Both Scantling and Toney recorded a touchdown each in their win against the Jags. While the deputies seem to be causing trouble for opposition D-lines, the QB even has the dominance of Travis Kelce to comfort him as they take on the Chargers next on their trip to Los Angeles.
