With the NFL on the down low, sports fans are getting their kicks from the NBA. But football fans should also keep a close eye on the basketball game. Because you never know who might show up. Last night was game 3 between the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors. In attendance were none other than the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons.

NFL fans have been dying to see Mahomes and Parsons face off against each other after their instant classic game in November. But they did not expect to see the athletes meeting on a basketball court.

 The first time Patrick Mahomes met Micah Parsons

During week 11 of last season, the Dallas Cowboys faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs. The rookie linebacker Micah Parsons was very excited for this match-up. He was eager to play against Mahomes. When interviewers asked him about his thoughts on the Chiefs QB. The Cowboys defensive star said, “This is a guy I like on Madden.” He adds, “So my first time playing him, I’m really excited to see what he does in person.”

We all know how that game ended. Even though the Cowboys played amazing defense. They lost to the Chiefs with a score of 19-9. Mahomes was impressed with the rookie LB. During the post-match interviews, he said“He’s a special player,” Mahomes adds, “I mean, to be that good of a linebacker and be able to play defensive end, there’s not a lot of guys like that in this league. He has a high motor. He chased me down on that sack, the strip-sack, and the whole game he was in there the whole time battling and battling.”

Mahomes and Parsons meet again

Ever since their first encounter, the fans have been eager to see the athletes face off once more. Patrick Mahomes once again met Micah Parsons last night. But both the NFL superstars were not in helmets. They were attending an NBA game.

The NBA playoffs are in full effect, and all the fans, including NFL athletes, are excited about it. You never know who might turn up courtside during a match-up.
