“Yea, I mean that’s what we wanna do,” Mahomes said in a press conference. “I mean, we wanna set an example; we wanna keep continuing and improving school for our youth and kids. And make sure that’s the next generation; that’s the ones that are gonna make this world an even better place.”

“So ‘Read for 15’ was so great about getting kids to read and learn and stuff like that,” he added. “We wanna reward them for their hard work because like I said, it’s gonna make this world a better place. And whenever Sterling grows up, that’s gonna be a generation before her that’s doing that.”

Read for 15 is just one initiative out of many that the Kansas City star has carried out through his foundation. The foundation was created in 2019 with the aim to improve the lives of children.
