Patrick Mahomes talks about the growing pains early in the season
At the press conference, 27-year-old Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes said, “In certain situations, you have to just take the points, and when a game’s going like this and I think you see that sometimes I mean.“
Speaking about the defense and offense, he added, “The defense plays like they are playing right now. I mean, I have full trust the offense is going to figure it out. So, I mean that’s the positive I see in this game is defense is playing really good football and the offense, we have to learn to get better as the season goes on so we can win a lot of football games.“
It is also worth noting that both Tom Brady‘s team and Aaron Rodgers’ team are currently going through several injury concerns and growing pains early in the season. Brady himself is suffering from a finger injury and is playing through the injury.
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers’ team Packers are short of wide receivers, as they already lost Sammy Watkins. Apart from him, Randall Cobb and Christian Watson are also out with injuries. Despite winning the Week 3 game against the Bucs, Rodgers made a lot of mistakes, which he would like to improve as well.

It is worth mentioning that the Chiefs have undergone significant changes in the offense during the offseason. Many experts felt the changes could harm the Chiefs during the season. In their first game against the Cardinals, the offense looked solid; however, in the Week 2 game, they barely won it against the Chargers.
The Week 3 game showed the flaws in their offense, as they will take on Tom Brady and the Bucs next Sunday. Undoubtedly Bucs are a superior offensive team than the Colts, and the Chiefs’ defense has to step up in the week 4 game. Also, their offense needs to improve massively to win a game against the Bucs. Meanwhile, Brady is still doubtful for the week 4 game, as he has sustained a finger injury.
