NFL players are reportedly in line for a 30-35% pay cut in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. There are budget cuts across various sporting leagues right now.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero had earlier spoken about how NFLPA informed its board today that senior league officials have proposed a 35% pay cut on player salaries due to the global epidemic.
It is no secret that league revenue may face massive setbacks if the ongoing situation persists. If matches are played in empty stadiums, the league will miss out on ticket revenue at the very least. Brand deals and other commercial activities will also be hit by the COVID-19 crisis.

“I think he is the face of the NFL. If it wasn’t for LeBron (James) he might be the face of American sports these days. More than anything he’s one of these guys that can really put a city on a map.
“Nobody cared about Indianapolis before Peyton Manning got there, nobody really cared about Cleveland sports-wise before LeBron got there and then they did.
“Mahomes is that type of guy. He’s putting Kansas City on the sports map and it’s really cool to be involved and be around it while it’s happening,” Schaffer said.
