Patrick Mahomes Opens Up on His Baby Daughter Sterling Turning One: “She Has a Personality, She Knows How to Say ‘No’ a Lot”

Patrick Mahomes and his fiance Brittany Matthews have an adorable almost one-year-old baby girl named Sterling Skye Mahomes. Sterling is her father’s biggest and the cutest fan. Ever since Sterling was born, Brittany has brought her to many of Patrick’s games. 

Little baby Mahomes was present with her family to support Patrick in the Pro Bowl game last night. With love and support from his daughter, Mahomes was able to win the game. The Mahomes household enjoys a little downtime after the NFL season is over early for the Chiefs quarterback.

Patrick Mahomes talks about his daughter turning one

During the Pro Bowl All-Stars game, Patrick Mahomes did an in-game interview with ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters. In the interview, the reporter asked Mahomes a series of questions about the season and loss to the Bengals. Mahomes elaborated on how he is still not over it. The Chiefs QB is going to use it as motivation to do better.

Towards the end of the interview, Lisa asked Mahomes about his baby daughter. She said, “So you have the whole family out here, the baby, and she turns one in a week or so?” Mahomes replies, “Yeah, February 20th, February 20th.” Then Salters asked, “What’s that been like?” 

The quarterback answers, “It’s been awesome, you know.” He adds, “She’s at the stage now where she’s almost walking. She has a personality. She knows how to say ‘No’ a lot.”

To his family, Mahomes says, “It’s definitely awesome to have them all out here.” Sterling will be turning one later this month. She is already developing a personality that might give Patrick a tough but fun time.

Last time we saw Patrick Mahomes’ baby was during the AFC championship game. The Chiefs took on the Bengals. Little Sterling Skye Mahomes was decked from head to toe in Kansas City Chiefs gear. We saw Sterling watching the game from the stands with her mother, Brittany Matthews. Matthews posted some pictures with her baby on Instagram. 

Patrick Mahomes has a really cute and happy family. After the loss against the Bengals, the Chiefs quarterback has been enjoying some downtime with his future wife and little baby girl. After winning the Pro Bowl, the Mahomes family might have celebrated like champions. Before the preseason begins, Mahomes has a few more weeks to spend some quality time with the family.
