The Match is an exhibition golf match, with the 2022 version being held in Nevada. Tom Brady (Buccaneers) and Aaron Rodgers (Packers) team up against Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) and Josh Allen (Bills).

The lead-up to 2022’s The Match has seen some good banter between the two teams. All the players know each other, making the banter more interesting.

Did Randi Mahomes think Rodgers insulted Patrick Mahomes?

One such instance of banter, wherein Rodgers called Mahomes ‘Kermit the Frog’, saw Randi Mahomes wade in with her opinion on the matter. Rodgers had called out Mahomes/Allen, saying the newer generation of players had not faced the sort of trash-talking that veterans like him and Brady had seen during the early years of their career.

“When you talk about Kermit the Frog (Mahomes) and Josh (Allen) trying to s— talk me and Tom, a couple of old-school grizzled vets … come on,” Rodgers said.

In response to the direct call out to her son, Mahomes’ mum, Randi, tweeted, “Not Cool.” However, she took down the tweet soon after, probably realizing that Rodgers made the comments in good humor rather than as an insult.

Many NFL fans jokingly refer to Mahomes as ‘Kermit the Frog’, finding his voice like the friendly children’s character.

Too damn long!”
