Additionally, the new QB broke LA’s losing streak and pulverized Las Vegas’ playoff hopes. But Patrick Mahomes could not hold his thoughts and mocked the Raiders’ setback due to Mayfield.

During the offseason, Baker Mayfield and his issues with the Browns were a touchy subject. He was part of a trade that sent him off to the Panthers. However, that relationship did not last after they dismissed him. Mayfield joined the Rams and became the wonder kid after crumbling the Raiders in his debut.

After the Raiders’ crushing loss at the hands of the Rams, Patrick Mahomes kept his thoughts on Twitter. The Grim Reaper and the Chiefs delivered heavy setbacks to their divisional rival. But he had epic feedback after witnessing their blowout loss. The Chiefs QB1 deleted the tweet, but the fans were swift to grip a screenshot. He tweeted, “Wow [3x rolling on the floor laughing emoji ].”

In his debut with the Rams, Baker Mayfield completed 22 of 35 passes for 230 yards. He also received a rating of 91.4. After connecting with Van Jefferson in the end zone, the new Rams quarterback put together an eight-play, 98-yard scoring pass. Mayfield and the Rams shattered the Raiders’ playoff hopes after falling to 5-8.

Mayfield rose to prominence and had exotic places to visit. Aside from the Rams, the 49ers were also widely speculated to be interested in him after losing Jimmy Garoppolo.

That, however, did not occur, and Mayfield wound up in Los Angeles. According to 49erswebzone, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan claimed to be a great admirer of the quarterback, but they could not make it a reality to bring him to California. He mentioned, “We’ll look into everything, but I feel pretty good with where we’re at right now.”

Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy would start for San Francisco. On Sunday, he will make his first NFL start against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.
